When Walt Disney founded the Walt Disney Studios with his brother Roy Disney back in 1923, the original goal was for it to become the Disney Brothers Cartoon Studio. With just six years away from the beginning of the Great Depression, the Disney Brothers were ahead of their time and pioneered what would eventually become mainstream business models for animated feature films.
